Aims & Objectives

  • Targeting future business leaders and professionals
  • Raising awareness amongst gifted local students of their social responsibility
  • Encouraging those students to become involved in and be sensitive to charitable and communal giving
  • Educating young peopleabout the workings of charities and how they manage their investments

Programme Overview

  • Students are selected to work individually on a number of topics of a charitable and a financial nature during years 12 & 13 and year 1 of university
  • Year 12 - Charity research project/set up of a 3-year Virtual Investment portfolios
  • Year 13 - Charity fundraising project/ongoing portfolio management
  • Year 1 University - Research project - "Charities and their investments"

Selection Process

  • Students in Year 12 (schools and college) who gained 5 A's and above in their GCSEs are invited to apply
  • Selected students are invited to a welcome reception to launch the project
